Hobart UNESCO City of Literature – Logo Design

Hobart boasts copius award-winning and bestselling authors, from self-published writers to Booker Prize winner Richard Flanagan. With its vibrant literary scene—featuring beloved libraries, bookshops, local publishers, and an ever-evolving calendar of festivals and events—Hobart is a city of stories on an island rich in storytelling.

Achieving UNESCO City of Literature status will position Hobart as a distinctive hub for readers and writers while sharing Tasmanian stories with the world.

A thoughtfully crafted logo and branding suite designed for Hobart’s City of Literature initiatives, fostering community engagement and pride. The logo blends the imagery of an opening book with a bird in flight, symbolising the transformative power of literature and its ability to inspire and uplift.
