Fedrigoni – Typography
Late last year I was lucky enough to be invited by Fedrigoni to contribute to 365 2026. Designers were invited to interpret a number, a paper, and a colour by responding to the central question: “How does colour make you feel?”
My colour was a rich chocolate brown with silver ink, and the number ‘4’. Which makes me think of 'cosy' winter making time indoors. So I drew a badly-knitted ‘4’. I love craft, but I can’t knit to save myself. As romantic as knitting something by the fire is, this is the closest I’ll come.
Fedrigoni says “This year’s edition is presented as thirteen individual books, each representing a chromatic chapter in a broader colour spectrum. When placed together, their covers form a complete colour wheel, a deliberate visual metaphor for the emotional and psychological range of colour itself.”
